Welcome to our site!The HVAC&R Center has a unique blend of talent to serve your technical needs. Our staff has experience in a large number of applications ranging from indoor air quality to thermal energy storage to computer modeling and simulations. The HVAC&R Center was established in 1989 as the Thermal Storage Applications Research Center (TSARC) and has grown to earn national and international recognition for advancing the state-of-the-art in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration technologies. The Center's affiliation with the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison provides access to an extensive array of resources both within the University and in private industry. Our Mission The mission of the HVAC&R Center is to advance the science of providing controlled environments to ensure the health and comfort of people and to facilitate the production and storage of goods. We promote advances in heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration technology through research, technical assistance, publications, and education.
